On Sunday, 11 May 2025, La Maison du Vin had the privilege of hosting an exceptional Gastronomic Dinner at LPM Restaurant, Parklane Resort & Spa in Limassol, in the presence of Monsieur Marcel Guigal—one of the most respected and influential figures in the world of wine.
The event was fully booked well in advance, reflecting the excitement and admiration surrounding a winemaker whose achievements have shaped the global wine industry. Marcel Guigal is internationally recognised for producing some of the Rhône Valley’s most iconic wines and has received an extraordinary thirty-three perfect 100-point scores from Robert Parker, an unmatched achievement.
Often regarded as one of the greatest winemakers in history, Marcel Guigal has earned worldwide praise for his unwavering commitment to quality, tradition and excellence. Jancis Robinson described him as “simply the best winemaker on the planet”, while Decanter honoured him as Man of the Year.
A Celebration of the Rhône Valley
Guests were welcomed with Ruinart Blanc de Blancs served from Magnum before enjoying an outstanding gastronomic experience created by Chef Panos Petrou and the team at LPM. Throughout the evening, each course was paired with a carefully selected range of E. Guigal wines, showcasing the elegance, complexity and diversity of the Rhône Valley.
The dinner offered guests a rare opportunity to meet Marcel Guigal in person, discover some of France’s finest wines and share an unforgettable evening of gastronomy, wine and hospitality.
