La Maison du Vin was established in Limassol in 1992 by Victor Papadopoulos, a Cypriot born in Congo. Having spent many years in France, Victor developed a deep passion for fine wines and cultivated a sophisticated understanding of wine culture.
Upon returning to Cyprus, Victor recognized a growing demand for high-quality imported wines. Seizing the opportunity, he established relationships with some of the world’s leading wine producers, ultimately founding the first La Maison du Vin in Limassol, providing a gateway to premium wines for the local market.
Victor Papadopoulos was recognized by the French government in 2004 with the title “Officier de l’ Ordre du Mérite Agricole”. In 2009, he was further honored by Italy as “Cavaliere Dell’Ordine al Merito Della Repuplica Italiana”, and in 2011, he received France's highest distinction, the “Ordre National du Mérite”. In addition to these prestigious honors, Victor Papadopoulos serves as the President for Cyprus of "La Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs," the world’s oldest gastronomic society, founded in 1248 by King Louis IX of France. He is also a Chevalier of the "Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin.
Petros Fraefel joined the team in 2010 and has since been responsible for executing the decisions of the Board of Directors, reporting on the company's financial and operational performance. In his role, Petros oversees and directs the company's activities, manages social media platforms, and ensures the continuous updating of corporate systems. He identifies opportunities for problem-solving and improvements in services, facilities, and equipment. Additionally, he is deeply involved in customer service, working to understand and address client needs while resolving issues promptly. Petros also plays a key role in handling serious customer complaints and maintaining the company's competitive edge.

The well-known EuroCave was the first in the world to produce wine storage cabinets and they are still considered the top producer in the field. Zalto Glass are available exclusive from 2020. Glasses are handicrafted and consider one of the best brands on the word.
