The Macallan The Harmony Collection JING PHOENIX HONEY ORCHID TEA 43.9% Vol. is an exquisite single malt Scotch whisky matured in a careful combination of European and American oak sherry casks, complemented by a subtle inclusion of bourbon casks that have previously absorbed noble flavors.
This special edition is Inspired by Phoenix Honey Orchid Tea by JING, a complex tea with luscious dessert wine flavors, exotic fruit notes and subtle floral sweetness.
The whisky, which is predominantly matured in American oak sherry casks, develops fruity and floral aromas that are wonderfully balanced by European oak. The latter gives it toasty richness and a subtle astringency, while the bourbon casks add a final sweetness that mimics the dessert wine flavors of Phoenix Honey Orchid tea. Rich in tradition and history, the synergies between The Macallan and JING Tea are celebrated in a ritual that combines heritage and art. The image of the ceremonial tea pet serves as a vehicle to tell the story of this special collaboration. A poetic animation featuring the Andalusian horse also references the Jerez sherry tradition and the close connection to The Macallan’s rich sherry journey.
