Nestled on a terraced hillside in Kfar Tikvah (“Village of Hope”) overlooking Israel’s lush Jezreel Valley, Tulip Winery was founded in 2003 by Roy Itzhaki and the Yitzhaki family, inspired by a mission to blend winemaking passion with social impact. As the winery grew, Roy made a courageous choice: rather than dismiss his workers with disabilities, he partnered with top rabbis and in 2010 gained kosher certification making Tulip one of the few wineries both kosher and socially inclusive.
Today, Tulip produces around 200,000–300,000 bottles annually and is celebrated for both quality wine and a community driven ethos. Adult residents with cognitive and developmental disabilities from the village actively contribute to every stage harvest, bottling, tasting-room service affirming their dignity and potential.
Kosher grape-to-bottle process — Certified by leading kosher authorities.
Social-business model — Integrating team members with disabilities into core winemaking roles.
