Château de Laubade is an agricultural and winegrowing estate located in Sorbets, in the Gers, in the heart of the finest Bas Armagnac terroir. The 105-hectare estate in a single block around the château, built in 1870, has been in the Lesgourgues family for three generations. Today, Denis, assisted by his sister, Jeanne, and brother, Arnaud, continue their family’s constant striving for excellence, with the aim of producing the most outstanding Armagnacs.

Mahogany brown in color and a beautiful shine. The nose, all in finesse, offers notes of exotic wooded, prune and vanilla, supplemented by sweet spices. The mouth offers a rounding and balanced attack. The candied fruits and the rancio dominate and blend harmoniously towards a long finish.
The Bas-Armagnac, whose capital is Eauze, is west of the appellation. It runs on the Landes and the western part of the Gers. It represents 67% of the areas identified in Armagnac. In this part of the terroir, the floors are sablo simedy, called “sandblasters”. Bas-Armagnac brandies are delicate and very fruity.
