Planeta is one of Sicily’s most respected wine families. With roots going back 17 generations, the estate spans multiple locations across the island, including Menfi, Noto, Vittoria, and most notably, the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna at Feudo di Mezzo and Sciaranuova.
Since 2022, Planeta’s entire cultivated area has been certified organic. Their vineyards, olive groves, almond trees, and cereals are all farmed without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers. Four of their five estates now produce organic wines. Sustainability is at the core of their philosophy, and they follow the SOSTain protocol for responsible environmental practices.
Made from 100% Nerello Mascalese grown in volcanic soils, this is a textbook Etna Rosso. It shows the purity and finesse that make wines from this region so distinctive.
