Description
Grape: 52% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot
Winemaking:
The must is vinified parcel by parcel in steel vats kept at a controlled temperature. The malolactic fermentation takes place both in steel vats and in wooden barrels. Subsequently the wine is aged in French oak barrels (with 50% new wood) for about 18 months.
Food Pairing:
Blason d’Issan goes perfectly with stewed game and roasted red meats and noble poultry. It is advisable to let the wine settle ( Zalto Decanter ) for at least 2 hours before serving it.
