The family estate Castello di Brolio sits peacefully on a picturesque hill in the Chianti mountains – surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and cypresses. Food and Wine Pairing Suggestions
This style of Chianti works beautifully with traditional Italian dishes and Mediterranean cuisine.
Ideal pairings
- Pasta with tomato-based sauces such as ragù or amatriciana
- Pizza with cured meats or mushrooms
- Grilled meats including pork chops or lamb
- Roast chicken with herbs
- Ossobuco
Other good matches
- Aubergine parmigiana
- Mushroom risotto
- Charcuterie and aged cheeses such as Pecorino or Parmigiano Reggiano
The wine’s natural acidity complements tomato sauces particularly well, while the savoury notes enhance herbs, grilled meats, and rustic Italian dishes.
