Grape: 100% Chardonnay
About the Great White Shark
Great White Sharks are known to frequent the cold and turbulent waters north of San Francisco along the Sonoma Coast. In this region, vineyards fight fog, mist and cooler summer temperatures. These factors allow acidity to be preserved in the grapes creating a sought-after structure in the wine and maybe just a little bit of bite. When it came to choosing an alpha predator for Juggernaut’s Chardonnay, there was no better fit for our “great white.”
Winemaking
86% barrel fermented in 1 & 2 year-old French oak and 14% fermented in stainless steel
Juggernaut Chardonnay is a bold, rich California Chardonnay typically oak-aged with notes of tropical fruit, vanilla, butter, and toasted spice. Here are some food pairing suggestions to match its intensity and character:
🧀 Cheese
-
Brie or Camembert – Creamy cheeses balance the wine’s richness.
-
Aged Gouda – Nutty and caramelized flavors complement the toasty oak notes.

-
Seared scallops – Sweet, delicate scallops match the wine’s fruit and oak balance.
-
Crab cakes – Especially with a creamy aioli or remoulade.

-
Roast chicken with herbs – Earthy and savory flavors play well with the wine’s depth.
