VINEYARDS
Beyerskloof has three well established farms within the Stellenbosch Wine Valley from where we annually harvest our grapes. These farms provide access to a combination of premium and older vines, setting the tone in our aim to be one of the finest Red Wine producers. The first vineyards were planted in 1988, and we continue to establish new vines as required.
Winemaking
Grapes were picked at optimum ripeness. Made in open fermenters on the skins for 5-8 days at an average temperature of 26°C. Punching of the cap was done every 2 hours to extract good colour and flavours from the grapes. After malolactic fermentation
in stainless steel tanks, the wine aged in French oak for 12 months.
